Painted Wolf Black Tip Mourvedre

Painted Wolf Black Tip Mourvedre is a rich, brooding wine with intense plum and cherry complemented by an earthy, forest floor character. Bright acidity, ripe tannins, subtle oak and a rich, savoury appeal. Named after Black Tip, the incredible alpha female immortalised in the BBC documentary series Dynasties.

Jeremy and Emma Borg founded Painted Wolf Wines to create unique wines from a small number of growers in some of South Africa's prime sites, including Paarl, Swartland and Stellenbosch - low-yielding areas which are mostly unirrigated and farmed organically.
 
They called their company Painted Wolf, after the endangered African Wild Dog. The Painted Wolf 'pack' is their community of talented individuals who bring the best available grapes, technical and practical skills, resulting a range of delicious, authentic and satisfying wines.

A percentage of Painted Wolf's profits from UK sales are donated to Tusk Trust, which not only funds projects to protect wildlife, particularly endangered species, but also helps to alleviate poverty through sustainable development and education amongst rural communities which live alongside wildlife.
