Berton Vineyards began as a dream in 1996 when Bob and Cherie Berton planted their first vines on the rugged, beautiful slopes of High Eden in the Barossa Valley. Despite the harsh, dry conditions, they nurtured their Shiraz and Chardonnay vines, eventually creating the award-winning Bonsai Shiraz. Today, the vineyard stands as a testament to their perseverance and passion, producing exceptional wines that capture the spirit of this unique region.

In 2005, the Bertons took a bold step by acquiring a historic winery in Yenda, New South Wales. This move allowed them to expand their craft, processing grapes not just from their own vineyard but from some of Australia's most renowned wine regions, including Coonawarra and Adelaide Hills. Every grape is carefully selected and every batch meticulously fermented to bring out the best in each variety, making Berton Vineyards a name synonymous with quality.
