The Dardi di Bussia zone is one of the great Barolo crus and Poderi colla is an excellent producer respecting the traditions of the region. Poderi Colla Barolo Bussia Dardi Le Rose has intense fruit aroma and a perfect balance of savoury fruit and acidity. A powerful wine, the finish lingers with supple tannins enabling the wine to perfectly accompany food.

The Colla family has three centuries of winemaking history in northern Italy although Poderi Colla, itself, is a relatively new winery.

Established in 1993 by Tino (brother of the legendry Beppe Colla) and his granddaughter Federica, it makes wines from three outstanding sites in Alba and covers nearly the entire spectrum of Alba styles. Using their own grapes from vineyards in Bricco del Drago, Tenuta Roncaglie (Barbaresco) and Tenuta Dardi le Rose (Barolo) the wines are balanced, rich and complex.

Tino and Federica believe in a non-interventionist approach to winemaking to give each wine a unique expression of site and vintage, and take sustainability and the environment as seriously as their wines.
