Aloxe Corton Vincent et Gabriel Fournier et Fils

Aloxe Corton Vincent et Gabriel Fournier et Fils is a rich, full style of Burgundian Pinot Noir with generous red berry fruit, good weight in the mouth and a smooth finish. The currant character is very present, as well as raspberries and blackberries, but also vegetal and spicy notes. Harmonious although typically robust with a good tannic structure, a wine which will continue to improve with age.

Gabriel and Vincent, the fourth and fifth generations of the Fournier family, continue to farm and expand this Côte de Beaune domaine located in the tiny village of Tailly, next to Meursault. With 11 hectares of choice plots nearly running the length of the Côte from Chassagne-Montrachet to Aloxe-Corton, the team lives within a philosophy of minimal intervention including working the soils mechanically (winter and summer plowing) rather than chemical weed control, and minimal use of new wood so that the wines can best express their unhidden nature, their true terroirs. Importantly, there is a sense of joy and conviviality in the fields and in the cellars, and this helps the winemakers deliver wines that bring "gourmet pleasure."
