Fritz Wassmer Spatburgunder is a Burgundian style Pinot Noir from Baden between the Black Forest and the Rhine valley. Soft and savoury with good weight. Raspberry and blackberry fruits and real depth.

Fritz Wassmer has established himself at the top of Baden winegrowers with his internationally renowned Pinot Noir. His family has been involved in viticulture and agriculture in Schlatt for generations, and it was here that he came into contact with work in the vines for the first time. It has not let go of him since then. Even if it was to be a few years before Fritz Wassmer produced his own wine, the foundation stone for a great love was laid at a young age.

Since Fritz Wassmer founded the winery in 1998, he has pursued his own style of wine: independent, finesse and profound wines.

His passion is Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) and his special connection to Burgundy, as the cradle of Pinot Noir, is reflected in his daily work as a winemaker.

With the same dedication, Fritz Wassmer devotes himself to the cultivation and expansion of Chardonnay, White Burgundy (Pinot blanc), Gray Burgundy (Pinot gris), Auxerrois and Frühburgunder. As proof of his constant creative work, plots with Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and the Viognier, which is very rare in Germany, have been added in recent years.
