Le Clos des Chaumes Fiefs Vendeens Mareuil Blanc is a very approachable Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay blend from the Vendée region south of the Loire. Winemaker Fabien Murail has crafted a well balanced wine with orchard and citrus fruits, good weight and length.

Fabien Murail, harvester owner, operates 19 Ha of vines in the heart of Vendée. The Clos des Chaumes vineyard covers 17 hectares under the AOC Fiefs Vendéens Mareuil, and 2 hectares for Château Brédurière.

In 1955, Fabien Murail's grandfather, René Crepeau began a wine business by planting 1 hectare of vines. Then, his father Gustave Murail developped the business by increasing the area under vine to 11 hectares with mainly Rosé and Red grape varieties.

With a training in wine-growing and wine-making and rich in experience in several vineyards in France, Fabien Murail has been working since 2000 to preserve and enrich the family heritage. More recently he introduced new white grape varieties (Chenin and Chardonnay), which have been very successful.
