Chateau Laurou Fronton Tradition

Chateau Laurou Fronton Tradition is made from the local grape of Négrette with Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon in south-west France about 30km north-west of Toulouse. It is typically dark in colour, blackberry and red fruits with hints of black pepper spice and liquorice.

Purchasing a run-down Fronton vineyard in 1997, former IT engineer Guy Salmona found a match for his talents and energy. He Transformed his 45ha into a leading estate of the region and the whole production was certified organic in 2013.

Guy has a modern winery with temperature controlled concrete tanks.

The Negrette grape blends particularly well with Syrah, but a small amount of Cabernet adds dimension to the blend. The reds are complex and expressive with red fruits, spices and the typical violet notes of the Negrette variety.
