Castillo de Eneriz Reserva is a mature blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Garnacha. Despite its age the wine retains good acidity, concentrated fruit balanced by mellow, well integrated oak. A real wow wine for those who enjoy older vintages.
The vineyards are located in three of the five sub-areas of de D.O. Navarra with different orientations that allow for considerable variability, and contribute the particular traits of each sub-area. Strict vineyard controls allow the producer to obtain grapes of the highest quality.
Intense ruby-red with tawny hues, typical of ageing. Great aromatic intensity of fine toasty notes blending into the fruit. Hints of stewed fruit and cinnamon. Intense, elegant attack with well-structured tannings and good acidity, with fine notes of ripe fruit returning against a background of excellent wood. Long, enveloping finish.
