The most concentrated of the Beaujolais Crus. Gerard Charvet’s vineyards are located in Chénas. Moulin-A-Vent Gerard Charvet has a floral, mineral nose with raspberry and fruits of the forest flavours. Complex with good length.
“I started making wine at age 22, a head full of ideas, and a desire, so I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. There was no rhetoric, or delusions of grandeur in my work, just a desire to do a job well done. A presence of diligence in my vines allowed me to have an accurate idea of the needs of each and every plot. I had one goal: to grow the best grapes and make the best wine possible. I wanted to make a wine in my image: accessible, engaging and generous.
My modern winery has allowed me to appropriate a method for each wine in order to highlight the nuances of each plot. After 35 vintages of growing grapes and making wine, I can now claim to be an artisanal winemaker with an enduring source of motivation to offer pleasure in every bottle.
I am proud to make living wines, that of which transcribe the soul of the Land and the characteristics of each year! All of my wines are truly unique.” Gerard Charvet
